Cr\u00e9dito: Bill Gray \/ Project Pluto<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Momentos depois do hor\u00e1rio previsto, a IMO &#8211; Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Meteoros, recebeu neste dia 02 alguns relatos de b\u00f3lidos vindos da \u00c1frica do Sul e de Botswana, todos eles em hor\u00e1rio compat\u00edvel\u00a0com o esperado para um impacto do\u00a0ZLAF9B2 naquela parte do globo. Surgiu tamb\u00e9m um v\u00eddeo postado pela sul-africana\u00a0Suzanne Paxton Spektrum, que mostra um b\u00f3lido registrado em uma c\u00e2mera de seguran\u00e7a. A esta\u00e7\u00e3o faz parte de uma rede internacional de sensores de infrassom\u00a0operado pela JPL\/NASA e em breve os resultados mais apurados dessa detec\u00e7\u00e3o devem ser href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SONEARObservatory\/posts\/1726054464146876\">informou em seu canal no Facebook<\/a> que o asteroide foi detectado tamb\u00e9m pelo Observat\u00f3rio Atlas situado no Hawai.\u00a0 Com\u00a0 os dados fornecidos pelo observat\u00f3rio, a \u00f3rbita do asteroide foi refinada e a \u00e1rea de poss\u00edvel impacto foi reduzida para uma faixa de apenas 1500 Km entre a informa\u00e7\u00f5es, O SONEAR declarou n\u00e3o haver mais d\u00favidas que o b\u00f3lido detectado em Botswana\u00a0se tratava de fato do impacto do asteroide detectado horas antes pelo Catalina. Eles divulgaram tamb\u00e9m um\u00a0mapa da \u00e1rea reduzida de onde deve ter ocorrido\u00a0impacto. Cr\u00e9dito: SONEAR<\/p><\/div>\n<p>E \u00e0s 13:15 desse domingo, 03 de junho de 2018, o Minor Planet Center divulgou a circular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minorplanetcenter.net\/mpec\/K18\/K18L04.html\">2018-L03<\/a> em que atribui o nome 2018 LA ao asteroide at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o chamado provisoriamente de\u00a0ZLAF9B2 e confirma que ele n\u00e3o existe mais, tendo entrado na atmosfera sobre o Sul da \u00c1frica nesse dia 02, \u00e0s 16:51 UTC (13:51 hor\u00e1rio de Bras\u00edlia).<\/p>\n<p>Dessa forma, est\u00e1\u00a0confirmado. Este \u00e9\u00a0 apenas o terceiro caso de um asteroide que atingiu a Terra depois de detectado pelos telesc\u00f3pios que monitoram asteroides pr\u00f3ximos \u00e0 Terra. Os casos anteriores foram dos asteroides 2008 TC3 e 2014 AA, ambos descobertos pelo Catalina. Isso mostra\u00a0a necessidade de aumentarmos os investimentos em pesquisas nessa \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n<p>Esse \u00e9 um dos motivos\u00a0que no dia 30 de junho, o mundo celebra o <a href=\"https:\/\/asteroidday.org\/brasil\/\">Asteroid Day<\/a>, uma mobiliza\u00e7\u00e3o internacional com o objetivo de conscientizar autoridades e o p\u00fablico em geral sobre os reais riscos de um impacto de asteroide na Terra e sobre as a\u00e7\u00f5es poss\u00edveis para evitar ou amenizar seus efeitos.
