O evento ocorreu as 13h (hor\u00e1rio local) em 26 de abril de 1803. Mais de 37kg de mat\u00e9ria foi recuperado. Este foi um evento muito importante para o in\u00edcio da discuss\u00e3o cient\u00edfica para o entendimento dos meteoritos e suas origens.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00e9 aquela data, a ideia de que rochas poderiam cair do c\u00e9u era tida como fant\u00e1stica demais. E qualquer queda de meteorito era tratada com ceticismo. mas, no evento de L&#8217;Aigle, a Academia Francesa de Ci\u00eancias enviou o jovem Jean-Baptise Biot para investigar. Seu minucioso trabalho e posterior relat\u00f3rio descrevendo a certeza da origem extraterrestre daquelas rochas dando origem \u00e0 Ci\u00eancia de meteoros.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Aigle marca a primeira recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de pe\u00e7as de meteoritos com mapeamento dos locais.
