Prop\u00f4s a &#8220;Hip\u00f3tese nebular&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac Newton desenvolveu uma teoria da F\u00edsica e Immanuel Kant(1724-1804) resolveu edificar sua Filosofia a partir disso. Kant tinha tanto interesse por Ci\u00eancia que em 1755 ele prop\u00f4s que o sistema solar foi formado a partir da condensa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nebulosa de g\u00e1s. A hip\u00f3tese nebular foi reconhecida como a primeira teoria moderna da forma\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema solar. Os cometas tamb\u00e9m estavam na proposi\u00e7\u00e3o de Kant.<\/p>\n<p>O cientista franc\u00eas Laplace (Pierre-Simon Laplace 1749-1827) publica em 1805 o &#8220;Mec\u00e2nica celeste&#8221;, onde descreve uma teoria de forma\u00e7\u00e3o do Sistema Solar evolu\u00edda a partir das ideias de Kant. A quest\u00e3o \u00e9 que os cometas possu\u00edam, por vezes, \u00f3rbitas exageradamente exc\u00eantricas e pareciam surgir de qualquer dire\u00e7\u00e3o. Isso o fez supor que os cometas tivessem origem fora do nosso sistema solar. No espa\u00e7o interestelar. Esta vis\u00e3o de Laplace permaneceu sustent\u00e1vel at\u00e9 a segunda metade do s\u00e9culo XIX. Mas, ao perceber-se que o Sol se movia em torno do centro da Via L\u00e1ctea e, por consequ\u00eancia, todo o sistema solar, deveria existir uma maior taxa de ocorr\u00eancia de cometas surgidos a partir da dire\u00e7\u00e3o do movimento do Sol. Mas isso n\u00e3o era verdade.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 Schiaparelli ( Giovani Virginio Schiaparelli &#8211; 1835 -1910) sugeriu que os cometas habitavam uma nuvem que rodeava o Sol. Tal vis\u00e3o foi aceita, de forma mais geral, somente algumas d\u00e9cadas depois.<\/p>\n<p>O s\u00e9culo XIX seguiu com muitas descobertas de cometas peri\u00f3dicos. Veio o Encke (Johann Franz Encke &#8211; 1791 &#8211; 1865), cometa peri\u00f3dico com per\u00edodo curto: 3.3 anos. \u00a0 J\u00e1 em 1826,\u00a0Wilhelm von Biela (1782-1856) registra um cometa. Na apari\u00e7\u00e3o de 1846, este cometa foi visto dividido em dois peda\u00e7\u00f5es e, nas apari\u00e7\u00f5es seguintes, n\u00e3o foi visto como objeto comet\u00e1rio. Fez v\u00e1rias observa\u00e7\u00f5es do cometa C\/1864 N1 (Tempel), propiciando a descoberta de Carbono. J\u00e1 no s\u00e9culo XX foram muitas as descobertas sobre as composi\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas de cometas. Um epis\u00f3dio tornou-se cl\u00e1ssico no retorno do Cometa Halley em 1910. a descoberta da presen\u00e7a do t\u00f3xico cianeto e a informa\u00e7\u00e3o de que a Terra cruzaria sua cauda &#8220;venenosa&#8221; fez surgir uma onda de terror. isso deu um novo &#8220;g\u00e1s&#8221; \u00e0s supersti\u00e7\u00f5es envolvendo os cometas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Em 1950, Fred Whipple(1906 &#8211; 2004)prop\u00f4s o modelo da &#8220;bola de neve\u00a0suja&#8221; para descrever os cometas. Com o n\u00facleo constitu\u00eddo basicamente de \u00e1gua congelada, di\u00f3xido de carbono, metano, am\u00f4nia, al\u00e9m de poeira e rochas. Ainda em 1950 Johannes Oort (1900 &#8211; 1992) lan\u00e7ou a proposta de que existia um grande volume de cometas &#8220;adormecidos&#8221; em uma grande nuvem uma \u00f3rbita mil vezes mais distante que Netuno. Gerard Kuiper, em 1951, sugeriu existir uma regi\u00e3o interna \u00e0 Nuvem de Oort de onde viriam muitos cometas de relativo curto per\u00edodo. Objetos do cintur\u00e3o de Edgeworth-Kuiper foram observados pela primeira vez em 1992 e a partir da\u00ed, mais de mil integrantes foram devidamente registrados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">perceber o cintur\u00e3o de Kuiper ou a Nuvem de Oort n\u00e3o \u00e9 o suficiente ainda para o total entendimento de alguns mist\u00e9rios remanescentes dos cometas.
