Um grande b\u00f3lido foi visto de diversas localidades em todo o pa\u00eds por volta das 21 horas hor\u00e1rio local.<\/p>\n<p>Enquanto a maioria das pessoas ainda tentavam entender o que haviam visto, na periferia de Aguas Zarcas, uma mulher que nada vira, porque assistia TV naquele momento, ouviu um forte estrondo vindo dos fundos de sua casa. Ela baixou o volume da TV e foi at\u00e9 a parte de tr\u00e1s da casa, onde encontrou um buraco telhado de zinco, parte do madeiramento quebrado e alguns fragmentos de rocha espalhados sobre o ch\u00e3o de concreto. Era o primeiro fragmento de um dos mais importantes meteoritos dos \u00faltimos tempos, o meteorito Aguas Zarcas.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 pelas primeiras imagens do fragmento que atingiu a casa em Aguas Zarcas, ficava evidente que se tratava de um meteorito carbon\u00e1ceo, uma classe rara de meteoritos, provavelmente oriunda de n\u00facleos comet\u00e1rios e de extrema import\u00e2ncia no estudo da forma\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema solar e at\u00e9 mesmo da origem da vida na Terra.<\/p>\n<h2>O b\u00f3lido<\/h2>\n<p>Era uma noite relativamente limpa, poucas nuvens cobriam algumas \u00e1reas da Costa Rica. Por isso, quando ocorreu o b\u00f3lido, ele foi visto e registrado por v\u00e1rias c\u00e2meras de seguran\u00e7a e veiculares de diversos pontos do pa\u00eds. As primeiras imagens divulgadas na m\u00eddia foram de c\u00e2meras que monitoram a atividade dos vulc\u00f5es naquela regi\u00e3o. Todas mostrando a intensidade do clar\u00e3o gerado pela passagem atmosf\u00e9rica e uma delas, mostrava o pr\u00f3prio meteoro. J\u00e1 a partir dos primeiros v\u00eddeos foi poss\u00edvel perceber algumas caracter\u00edsticas desse b\u00f3lido: ele era lento, muito inclinado em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao solo, extremamente luminoso e teve uma not\u00e1vel fragmenta\u00e7\u00e3o final.<\/p>\n<p>Veja, no v\u00eddeo abaixo, algumas das imagens do b\u00f3lido e dos meteoritos resgatados:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Aguas Zarcas - Meteorito Hist\u00f3rico na Costa Rica\" width=\"854\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2JfnqM6leuo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>An\u00e1lise da trajet\u00f3ria<\/h2>\n<p>A medida que surgiram mais v\u00eddeos desse b\u00f3lido, a BRAMON os analisou e tra\u00e7ou uma trajet\u00f3ria do meteoro durante sua passagem atmosf\u00e9rica. A partir dessas an\u00e1lises, p\u00f4de-se concluir que o meteoro percorreu a atmosfera aproximadamente de Oeste-noroeste para Leste-sudeste, numa inclina\u00e7\u00e3o de 73\u00b0 em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao solo, a cerca de 14 Km\/s. O mapa com a trajet\u00f3ria calculada pode ser visto abaixo. O mesmo mapa foi enviado para o pesquisador Michael Farmer, que foi at\u00e9 a Costa Rica e conseguiu coletar diversos fragmentos de meteoritos dentro da \u00e1rea de dispers\u00e3o indicada. A localiza\u00e7\u00e3o de alguns dos meteoritos resgatados est\u00e3o marcadas com os pontos amarelos no mapa. Ap\u00f3s uma &#8220;entrada triunfal&#8221; pela atmosfera, diversos fragmentos se espalharam pela regi\u00e3o, predominantemente rural e cerca de 27 Kg deles j\u00e1 foram resgatados por ca\u00e7adores de meteoritos e por moradores locais.<\/p>\n<p>O meteorito recebeu oficialmente o nome de &#8220;Aguas Zarcas&#8221; (local de queda do maior fragmento), e foi classificado como um condrito carbon\u00e1ceo (CM2). Essa classifica\u00e7\u00e3o indica que o meteorito se formou no in\u00edcio do Sistema Solar, em uma regi\u00e3o mais afastada do Sol. Essa regi\u00e3o era mais fria, e por isso, enquanto se formava, essa rocha foi exposta a presen\u00e7a de \u00e1gua, gelo e outros materiais vol\u00e1teis. Isso fez com que seus minerais fossem hidratados e os elementos pudessem ser oxidados. Tudo isso propiciou a forma\u00e7\u00e3o natural de grande quantidade e variedade de mol\u00e9culas org\u00e2nicas, muitas delas que hoje tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o encontradas em seres vivos. Na estrutura desse meteorito encontramos bolinhas de minerais chamadas c\u00f4ndrulos, que remetem a \u00e9poca de forma\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema solar. \u00c9 poss\u00edvel perceber que a a\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua fez com que os c\u00f4ndrulos ficassem menos evidentes. Al\u00e9m dos c\u00f4ndrulos, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel ver que o meteorito tem uma matriz escura, causada tanto pela a\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua quanto pela presen\u00e7a das mol\u00e9culas org\u00e2nicas. Para meteoritos carbon\u00e1ceos, isso \u00e9 um fato bastante negativo, pois a \u00e1gua deteriora rapidamente o meteorito, alterando sua composi\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica e fazendo com que ele perca grande parte do seu valor cient\u00edfico. A \u00e1gua foi o \u00fanico metamorfismo sofrido por essa rocha, pois eles n\u00e3o sofreram metamorfismo t\u00e9rmico, a exemplo dos condritos ordin\u00e1rios, cujos alguns representantes demonstram derretimento dos minerais com quase desaparecimento de seus c\u00f4ndrulos. Os c\u00f4ndrulos s\u00e3o estruturas milim\u00e9tricas arredondadas, surgidos muito provavelmente durante os epis\u00f3dios de fulgura\u00e7\u00f5es geradas pelo proto-sol, cujo calor derreteu a poeira mineral e os transformou em pingos arredondados. Os CM2 possuem c\u00f4ndrulos bem pequenos, de 0,1 a 0,3 mil\u00edmetros de di\u00e2metros e tamb\u00e9m inclus\u00f5es refrat\u00e1rias ricos em alum\u00ednio, que s\u00e3o consideradas como sendo as primeiras estruturas a se cristalizarem no in\u00edcio da forma\u00e7\u00e3o planet\u00e1ria do Sistema Solar. A denomina\u00e7\u00e3o carbon\u00e1cea prov\u00e9m da grande quantidade de carbono em sua estrutura, que corresponde a 5% e est\u00e1 representada atrav\u00e9s de compostos org\u00e2nicos. At\u00e9 2010 j\u00e1 havia sido identificado, atrav\u00e9s de espectroscopia mais de 14.000 tipos de compostos moleculares. Entre estes, aparecem hidrocarbonetos, \u00e1cidos org\u00e2nicos, a\u00e7\u00facares como por exemplo, o \u00e1cido glic\u00e9rico e o \u00e1cido ribonico, fosfatos, o lip\u00eddeo 5-metilnonanoico, alco\u00f3is, amidos, fulerenos e hidrocarbonetos arom\u00e1ticos polic\u00edclicos (PAH). Al\u00e9m desses compostos, tamb\u00e9m possui purinas e pirimidinas, que serve de bases nitrogenadas aos \u00e1cidos nucleicos e mais de 100 amino\u00e1cidos, cuja maioria possui orienta\u00e7\u00e3o molecular surpreendentemente lev\u00f3gira e dessa forma, s\u00e3o semelhantes aos amino\u00e1cidos encontrados em seres vivos. S\u00e3o compostos org\u00e2nicos e inorg\u00e2nicos muito pr\u00f3ximos da composi\u00e7\u00e3o da biomassa terrestre. A liga\u00e7\u00e3o dos compostos moleculares org\u00e2nicos do Murchison e tamb\u00e9m de outros condritos CM2 com a vida terrestre \u00e9 bastante forte.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo da rela\u00e7\u00e3o deut\u00e9rio\/hidrog\u00eanio demonstrou que os condritos carbon\u00e1ceos possuem praticamente a mesma propor\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua terrestre e por isso eles s\u00e3o considerados como os depositantes do manancial aquoso terrestre. Ainda podemos considerar que se eles depositaram tanta \u00e1gua na Terra, eles tamb\u00e9m depositaram a mat\u00e9ria org\u00e2nica. O acr\u00e9scimo do material carbon\u00e1ceo se deu atrav\u00e9s do choque dos corpos paternos dos CM2 e tamb\u00e9m do CI. Uma semelhan\u00e7a ele j\u00e1 revelou. A entrada do Murchison pela atmosfera gerou um cheiro atmosf\u00e9rico de metanol ou piridina sentida por todas as testemunhas do evento. O mesmo cheiro \u00e9 sentido ao misturar o Aguas Zarcas com \u00e1gua, que pode indicar a presen\u00e7a maci\u00e7a de compostos org\u00e2nicos.
