Segundo a previs\u00e3o de Joseph Remis, especialista no c\u00e1lculo de reentradas, o objeto IRIDIUM 23 (NORAD 24906), deve cair por volta das 21:34 (hor\u00e1rio de Bras\u00edlia) dessa ter\u00e7a, 27 de mar\u00e7o, no leste asi\u00e1tico. Ele seguir\u00e1 sempre do Sul para o Norte, passando a oste de Bras\u00edlia por volta das 20:52 e saindo por volta d\u00e0s 20:57, a oeste do Oiapoque, Amap\u00e1, no extremo norte do pa\u00eds. Ele foi lan\u00e7ado em agosto de 1997 em no foguete Delta 7920-10C a partir de Base de Vandenberg na Calif\u00f3rnia. Desde 2010, as manobras realizadas com esse sat\u00e9lite, sugerem uma falha parcial em seu funcionamento.<\/p>\n<p>Grande parte do satelite deve ser consumido pela passagem atmosf\u00e9rica, mas existe o risco que alguns destro\u00e7os atinjam o solo.
